Is my school's data safe?

Absolutely. Each school operates on its own isolated subdomain with complete data separation. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

How do I register my school?

Click 'Get Started' on our homepage and fill out the registration form. Our team will review your application and set up your school within 24-48 hours.

Can I have multiple admin users?

Yes. School administrators can invite additional admin users, teachers, and manage all staff accounts from the admin dashboard.

How do parents and students access the platform?

Each school gets its own subdomain (e.g., yourschool.edskool.com). Parents and students log in through this subdomain to access their respective dashboards.

What roles are available in the system?

EdSkool supports five roles: Super Admin (platform level), Admin (school level), Teacher, Student, and Parent. Each role has its own dashboard and permissions.

Can I reset a user's password?

How do I switch between academic sessions?

Use the session/term switcher in the top navigation bar. You can switch between academic sessions and terms to view historical data.

Features

How does result computation work?

Teachers enter component scores (tests, assignments, CA, exams). The system automatically calculates totals, applies your grading scale, computes class positions, and generates report cards.

Can I customize the grading scale?

Yes. Each school can define its own grading scale with custom letter grades, score ranges, and remarks. You can also configure score components and their weights.

Does EdSkool support online exams?

Yes. Our CBT (Computer-Based Testing) engine supports timed exams with multiple question types, automatic grading, and detailed analytics.

Can I manage admissions online?

Yes. EdSkool provides a public-facing admissions portal where parents can apply online, track application status, and even take entrance examinations.

How do report cards work?

Once results are computed and approved, you can generate professional PDF report cards with one click. They include your school branding, all scores, psychomotor ratings, and teacher/principal comments.

Can parents message teachers?

Yes. The parent portal includes a messaging feature where parents can communicate directly with their children's teachers.

Does EdSkool handle timetables?

Yes. The visual timetable builder lets you create class schedules with conflict detection. Teachers and students see their timetables in their portals.

Is there a library management feature?

Yes. You can catalog books, manage borrowing and returns, and students can even request books through their portal.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers, card payments, and mobile money. Contact our sales team for specific payment options available in your region.

Is there a free plan?

We offer a trial period for schools to evaluate the platform. Contact us for details on our pricing tiers and what's included.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. Plans can be changed at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

EdSkool works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. It is also fully responsive on tablets and mobile devices.

Can I import existing student data?

Yes. EdSkool supports bulk import from Excel/CSV files for students, teachers, and scores. We provide sample templates and validate data before import.

Is there a mobile app?

We are currently developing mobile apps for iOS and Android. In the meantime, the web application is fully responsive and works great on mobile browsers.

What happens if my internet goes down?

EdSkool requires an internet connection to operate. We recommend a stable connection for score entry and result computation. We are exploring offline capabilities for future releases.

Is there an API available?

We are working on a public API. Contact us if you have specific integration needs and we will be happy to discuss options.

How do I get technical support?

You can reach us through our support center contact form, email us directly, or use the in-app help. We typically respond within 24 hours on business days.

Schools

Can I manage multiple branches?

Each school branch gets its own subdomain and operates independently. We offer management tools for school groups that need oversight across branches.

How do I set up academic sessions?

In the admin dashboard, go to Academic Sessions and create a new session with start/end dates. Add terms within the session. Activate the current session and term for day-to-day operations.

Can I customize score components?

Yes. You can define which assessment components your school uses (e.g., Test, CA, Exam) along with their maximum scores and weights. You can even set different components for specific subjects.

How do student promotions work?

At the end of the academic year, admins can set promotion rules (e.g., minimum average score). The system evaluates each student against the rules and recommends promotion, repetition, or withdrawal. Admins make the final decision.
